CUSTOM-MADE COVERS
Pretty Indie retains full copyright as the cover’s designer. After full payment, the client (author/publisher) possesses an exclusive license to use the final cover design for book production and promotional materials.
Pretty Indie requests credit for the cover creation in form of a line on your copyright page. Where possible, please link to the website: www.prettyindie.com
Once final, the design may not be altered or resold by either party.
Pretty Indie will utilize the design for marketing and portfolio purposes only.
Payment * An initial (non-refundable) deposit of $50 is required before design work begins. The final invoice is payable before delivery of the final book cover files. The grant of any license is conditioned on receipt of full payment.
Stock Image and Font Licensing * Stock images are licensed for commercial use from www.shutterstock.com and www.depositphotos.com. It is the Client's responsibility to abide by the terms and conditions listed on the respective stock image sites. The Designer, nor the Client owns the copyright of these images, and as such there are limitations to their use. (contact designer for more detail). Fonts used on book covers are licensed for commercial use from respective authorized sellers.
Revisions * Revisions are limited to three rounds before the delivery of final files to Client. Revisions include but are not limited to: color changes, background changes, typography changes, blurb changes, and image changes. The Designer reserves the right to charge for change requests made after the delivery of final files and/or after three rounds. Changes will be charged at $15 per trial.
Expenses * Stock Photography fees are included within the price of your book cover. If the Client requires specialty or exclusive stock images, the Client is responsible for any additional costs specialty/boutique stock incurs. This same clause will apply to any client-requested font or graphic purchases outside of the designer's standard subscription packages. (this shall be agreed upon by both parties in written before said purchases are completed)

Non-Use of AI in Design Process
Pretty Indie affirms that all book cover designs are created by a professional designer, utilizing only traditional design methods and professional design software. At no point in the creation of any custom or premade cover, or in any associated revisions, is artificial intelligence (AI) or automated design technology employed. The designer uses skill, creativity, and expertise to produce all designs, ensuring originality and a high standard of craftsmanship.
Any design-related work performed by Pretty Indie is solely the result of human input, and no AI-generated elements, algorithms, or automated tools are incorporated into the design process.
